How to read regional access support
This table is not a fixed list of guaranteed availability. “Supported” is assessed dynamically because the same platform may respond differently based on the content region, account details, exit address, and playback device. Check the route-purpose label in the client before connecting, then open the target platform to verify its catalog and playback status.

What does “access” actually change?
Streaming platforms typically infer your access region from the exit IP, then combine that signal with the account’s registration region, payment details, app-store region, device cache, and content licensing to decide what to show. Regional access mainly means connecting through a network exit in the target region so the platform performs regional detection again. It does not modify the account itself or automatically change app-store or payment details.
As a result, the same route may show different catalogs for different accounts. A browser may play normally while a TV app reports a regional issue because the app retained old cache or the device is still using local DNS. Platforms also keep updating address-detection rules, so current playback does not guarantee the same result later. If the status changes, switch to another compatible route in the same region and restart the app; this is usually more effective than repeatedly refreshing the current page.
Do not judge the region only by the platform’s interface language. It often follows account preferences or device settings and does not prove that the content region changed. A more reliable check is to search for a title available only in the target region, open its details page, and start playback. If the details page exists but the full video fails, check the exit address, DNS, account region, and device cache.
The difference between native IPs and residential IPs
These terms describe different aspects. A native IP focuses on whether the registered address region matches the actual exit region; a residential IP focuses on whether the address is identified as a home broadband connection. Both may apply, or only one may apply.
Native IP
When the address registration, network ownership, and exit location largely align, a platform is more likely to assign the expected region. This can help with catalog-region detection, but “native” does not guarantee playback. The platform may still consider address history, sharing patterns, and account status.
Residential IP
A residential IP more closely resembles an ordinary home broadband connection, which some platforms may accept more readily. Residential status is not a pass: heavy sharing, a regional mismatch, or conflicting account details can still trigger a regional message.
Choose by purpose, not just by name
A route name only describes network attributes; actual compatibility also depends on the platform’s current rules. For streaming, prioritize routes clearly marked for streaming in the client and matching the target catalog region. If several options share the same region, compare full-video loading, recovery after seeking, and sustained picture quality.
What 4K and Dolby Vision really require from a route
High-quality playback depends less on a peak speed shown by a test page than on sustained throughput, jitter, packet loss, and stable player buffering. A route with a high but erratic peak may start in high quality and then downgrade repeatedly; a steady route is often better for extended viewing.
Dolby Vision also depends on the source, plan entitlements, playback device, display, and app version. A network route can address the cross-border link and regional exit, but it cannot replace the terminal’s decoding and display capabilities. If only standard quality is available, first confirm that the source offers the relevant format in the current content region, then check whether the device and app meet playback requirements.
For a practical test, play continuously from the beginning for a while, then seek to the middle or later section and observe recovery speed. If buffering repeats, switch to another route in the same region. If only one device has trouble, check its Wi-Fi connection, system proxy state, and app cache first. Avoid switching regions repeatedly during playback; the platform may recheck the region and interrupt the current session.
Meaning and handling of common error codes
Different platforms, devices, and app versions display different codes, so identifying the error category is more reliable than memorizing one number. The cases below are grouped by the messages users commonly see.
Message says a proxy or access tool is being used
This usually means the platform has classified the current exit address, or that DNS and the exit region do not match. Disconnect the current route, close the platform app, switch to another compatible streaming route in the same region, and open it again. Do not just keep refreshing inside the app.
Message says content is unavailable in your region
First check whether the target catalog really changed, then verify the account region and app-store region. If the platform homepage shows the new region but the title remains unavailable, its licensing scope may differ from what you expected.
The details page loads, but full playback fails
This often occurs when the platform checks the region again at playback, or when the app retains the old connection. Fully exit the app, confirm that the route is still connected, and enter again. In a browser, clear the platform’s site data before retesting.
Message says authorization expired or asks you to sign in again
Frequent region changes can trigger another login-session check. Keep the route region unchanged and sign in again. If payment details conflict with the current content region, follow the platform’s account settings and official regional rules.
No regional error, but playback keeps buffering
This is more likely a link-quality issue than a regional detection failure. Switch to another route in the same region, avoid interference from the local Wi-Fi network, and pause heavy data transfers on other devices. If the catalog opens but playback is unstable, changing the account region should not be your first step.
Browser works, but the TV or mobile app does not
Check whether the affected device is actually using the same route. Some systems may retain old DNS settings or restore a direct connection in the background. Reconnect and restart the app; if the results still differ, compare the account region shown in the browser and app.
A route-selection workflow for stable streaming
Start with regional matching, then check platform detection, and compare playback quality last. Skipping the regional check and going straight to a speed test can make an account issue look like a route issue.
Confirm the target catalog first
Identify which content region contains the program you want to watch, and check the account registration, billing, and app-store regions. Switching routes repeatedly without a clear target only creates more cache and session variables.
Choose a compatible route in the same region
Select the target region in the client’s route list and prioritize the streaming-purpose label. A standard route may work for web access, but that does not mean it currently passes the platform’s regional checks.
Clear the effects of the old session
After switching routes, fully close and reopen the platform app. In a browser, test with a new session so old cookies, site data, or background connections do not preserve the previous regional result.
Verify the catalog and full video
Search for content from the target region, open its details page, and start playback. Seeing only the homepage or cover art is not enough to confirm compatibility. After playback starts, also check seeking, quality recovery, and continuous playback.
Compare routes within the same region
If the catalog is correct but buffering is noticeable, switch only among routes in the same region. This keeps the content region unchanged and narrows the issue to route quality instead of changing several conditions at once.
